The FOX and ABC networks banned the new, sexy Lane Bryant ad featuring average-sized women, but air the lovely (and boney) ladies of Victoria’s Secret in their barely nothings morning, noon and night — just flaunting around.
In case you missed the drama, the major broadcast networks showed major prejudice to the plus-size advertisement featuring a beautiful model in her bra and panties.
How can the big wigs dictate what their public views as indecent? Why not let me decide what I want to view. I, personally, think the ad is beautiful. I’m so used to seeing full figure women around me that I forgot that I was watching a plus-sized woman in the commercial.
Lane Bryant’s “Inside Curve” blog says, “ABC refused to show the commercial during ‘Dancing with the Stars’ without restricting our airtime to the final moments of the show. Fox demanded excessive re-edits and rebuffed it three times before relenting to air it during the final 10 minutes of “American Idol,” but only after we threatened to pull the ad buy… We knew the ads were sexy, but they are not salacious… If Victoria’s Secret and Playtex can run ads at any time during the 9pm to 10pm hour, why is Lane Bryant restricted only to the final 10 minutes?”
That’s just sad, because the majority of the women in my circle are a confident size 12, 14, and 16. And, I know their men would prefer mangoes over grapes any day!

The title of this post is too funny. Just saw the commerical and it is not bad at all. And my bf loves the mangoes. LMBO
