Halle, Is Vogue Ready For You?
We all know how sacred the esteem September issues of national, fashion magazines are — especially VOGUE (the fashion Bible). The content in the September issues are the biggest, boldest, best in the magazine’s catalogs. Be on the lookout of more color than the season’s hottest hues when Halle graces the cover. (It’s just a rumor, but if it proves to he true — Halle will be the first African American woman to grace the most- anticipated, annual issue since Naomi Campbell did in 1989. Beverly Johnson was the first Black woman to grace the cover in 1984.) Personally, I don’t know if Halle is the best choice, since she’s pretty bland right now. I would have loved to see Iman, since she was just crowned ‘Fashion Icon’.
Rihanna Expresses Gratitude
Rihanna has been a fan of Gucci before landed the spokeslady deal for the Gucci’s Tattoo Heart Collection, which is a beneficiary campaign for the UNICEF. She’s even more fond of the brand now since Gucci will be representing the black models — instead of “skinny white ones.” The African-American singer spoke for the black models. She said that there are very few black models working in the fashion industry as many designers prefer not to use them
