We all know that the summer months can wreak havoc on the skin and aggravate hyperpigmentation, the darkening of an area of skin caused by increased melanin.
The three biggest culprits of hyperpigmentation are the sun, acne and inflammation. People with darker skin are more prone to hyperpigmentation, especially with excessive sun exposure.
I just started the GoClear system that can treat and prevent pigmentation issues in three steps:
- Gently Exfoliate with the GoClear Clarifying Cleanser AM/PM packed with dual-purpose exfoliating granules to cleanse the skin thoroughly and release antioxidants onto the skin to help balance and restore hydration
- Unclog pores and heal inflammation, the underlying causes of acne and lingering hyperpigmentation with GoClear Intensive Acne Treatment, which contains immediate and sustained release salicylic acid to heal blemishes without causing skin-irritation (which can prolong hyperpigmentation)
- Moisturize and Protect with GoClear Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 15, an oil-free sunscreen that provides UVA / UVB sun protection, complexion-enhancing botanicals, and a matte finish, so you never feel greasy.
It is too soon to give you a full report on the products, but I must admit that this system doesn’t overdry my skin and I’ve seen fewer breakouts in the week that I’ve used it.
