Where did you come up with the title of the book? Well, I came up with Mind Sex because the people reading these stories will be able to imagine themselves as a character within the story. It will be in their heads like, “hey, this can very well be about me”, but in fact it’s just what their minds imagine it would be like to be in the shoes of the characters, thus having Mind Sex.
Give me the cliff notes version of your book. Mind Sex is a collection of short stories written from both the female and male perspective.
So, are the characters in your book real women with names changed? The characters in the book do not have names because I wanted the reader to be able to imagine his or herself as the character.
What’s your favorite quote or sentence in your book? Hmm, that’s a tough one. I would have to say the poem written in the middle. It’s untitled and has very little words but it speaks measures.
Where is the book available for purchase? Once it goes to print, it will be available on Wordclay.com for a reasonable price. Also, I have a friend who is trying to get me to do a book signing at Barnes and Noble, so it may be sold there as well.
Zane is coming out with a new book, will you rush to grab your copy? To be honest, the only book of hers I read is Afterburn. I have the Sex Chronicles that I am still getting through. I wasn’t much of a Zane fan in the beginning but after reading Afterburn, I am going out to get the rest of her books.
I know you have a day job. As a mother, wife, employee, when do you find time to write? Well, I was writing during my lunch breaks and at night once the kids went to bed. I carried my yellow legal pad with me everywhere so anytime anything came to mind, I could write it down before I forgot.
Once you decided that you wanted to write a book, what are the steps you took to make it happen? Originally I didn’t set out to write a book. I just wrote story after story and then decided to put them together. I looked into the copyrighting, which was simple; and then did the research on self publishing. That’s when I came across Wordclay.com; the site pretty much does everything for you. So once I got all my stories typed up and proofread, I uploaded it on the site and went from there.
How vivid were you in the sex scenes? LOL, very vivid, I used words and sayings that you would never actually hear come out of my mouth. You have to paint the picture the best way you know how and in order to engage the reader. I give my readers as much detail as possible.
How do you think your audience/fans will respond to your book? I hope they love it. I have been posting snippets on my Facebook page Erotic Mindz as well as my website http://www.eroticmindz.webs.com/. So far people love them. My husband thinks that people will think I’m some sort of freak in the bedroom. But in reality, I just have a very good imagination. LOL
What’s next for you? Well, let’s see, if this book does well, then I will publish the second volume to the book. Mind Sex 2: The Longer the Better; I already have stories set up for that one. Also too, like I said previously my sister and I are going to do an erotic poetry book. I also have a few ideas for children’s books too. I’m trying to make my mark in literature in some way and I won’t stop until I do!
