Karl Lagerfeld for Macy*s?

December 9, 2010
By

I can’t keep track of all these high-end designers developing materials for mass consumer retailers. I love it… fashion made affordable. Some of the recent fashion steals were Mulberry for Target, Lanvin for H&M and Valentino for the Gap. Now, there’s some whispers that Karl Lagerfeld is designing a line for Macy*s.

Karl Lagerfeld is allegedly developing an affordable ready-to-wear line for Macy’s of jeans and party dresses that will be sold online and in 250 Macy’s stores starting September 2011.

The collection is part of a new designer initiative that Macy’s is launching in 2011where designers will create masstige collections for their Impulse department rotating every two months. This sounds exciting!

Though they’re late to the high-end/mass retailer party, Macy’s will certainly increase sales and cause pandemonium with Karl Lagerfeld on board.

Fall fashion is my favorite. I’m sure Lagerfeld won’t disappoint.
