I can’t wait until my Essence Magazine arrive in the mail each month. Me and my best friend talk about the articles, beauty tips and fashion advice that we soak in from the publication each month, either on the subway ride to work or sitting under the hair dryer at the beauty salon. We both commented on Jennifer Hudson landing this month’s cover and her body looks FANTASTIC. I’m proud of her new body and the confidence exuding from each photo she takes. But, did J-HUD lost the cuteness and sassy attitude that we fell in love with as she belted across the stage of American Idol or Dream Girls? Jennifer was the adorable around the way girl that commanded attention. Now, I must say her look has changed and she looks a little — dare I say it? Old.
Dressed in bright pinks on the April covers of Essence, the fabulous Jennifer Hudson shows off her hard-earned new figure and bold manicure. The Oscar and Grammy winner rocks China Glaze Nail Lacquer® in Grape Pop from the Spring 2010 Up & Away Collection on her tips.
The intensely pigmented, deep purple of Grape Pop flatters the multi-talented star’s skin tone and provides a stunningly bold contrast to her fuchsia garments. Celebrity manicurist Cenita Scott topped the rich shade with a coat of China Glaze® Fast Forward Top Coat for a quick dry and high-shine finish.

Essence photogs should have taken JHud’s current photo the same distance as the previous photo. She looks phenomenal, but it’s not a good depiction of actual weight loss.
