After my chemical peel by the aestitation (the post on that is on it’s way,) I am super cautious about the products that I use to prevent reversing the affects of my very expensive procedure. (Sidebar: as I was getting the procedure my aestitation told me that my skin is too dry, and it shows that I’m not drinking enough water. Water is the #1 must have beauty product because it helps retain moisture in the skin. Since then, I’ve prescribed myself to eight full glasses a day.) So, here’s my list of products that keep my face bold and beautiful.
Ambi Essentials Gentle Cleanser
Ambi is one of those solid brands for Black women that have been around forever. Both my mother and grandmother used it while I was growing up. I just trust the brand. They recently launched a few new products across its portfolio that I’m enjoying. This affordable and gentle cleasner provides a deep clean and adds moisture to the skin.
Ambi Essentials Daily Moisturizer SPF 15 Protection
ALWAYS use a moisturizer, even if you have oily skin. AND, use a moisturizer like this one that has SPF protection. This lotion has a SPF protection of 15, but I’d perfer to use one with 30 or higher. This affordable daily moisturizer is light weight and oil free. My derm would love it.
Absolute Radiance Intensive Exfoliating Serum
This is an absolute must-have product for a smooth even tone. The best part about this product is that it’s made just for us by Dr. Susan Taylor. The Rx for Brown Skin Absolute Radiance Intensive Exfoliating Serum(SRP: $62.95) is an intensive exfoliating serum which gently lifts away dirt and dead cells to renew skin and reveal a brighter, smoother, and more luminous complexion. The revolutionary formula with MFA Complex, Hyaluronic Acid and Bright Skin Complex helps to increase cell renewal, hydrate skin and restore a warm, rich glow.
Naturally Flawless Advanced Botanical Brightener
The Advanced Botanical Brightener (SRP: $62.95) has extracts to help reduce uneven pigmentation and promote a balanced complexion. It’s also safe enough to use daily.
