Single Ladies, Queen Latifah’s drama series and VH1’s first venture into the hour-long scripted program, is a new romantic comedy series about Val, Keisha, and April – three best friends with different philosophies on sex and relationships, proving not all women have the same desires. VH1 describes the show as “a modern, sexy series set in the world of Atlanta fashion, music and celebrity that will constantly explore which woman has the right approach to relationships.” Queen Latifah remarked, “Single Ladies is a sexy and smart show… something that we feel TV has been missing for far too long and we knew VH1 was the perfect home for it.”

Single Ladies on VH1
Val ( Stacey Dash) is an ambitious aspiring fashion mogul who wants to find a true partner. Keisha (LisaRaye McCoy), on the other hand, is a former video dancer just looking for a rich man to keep her in style. April (Charity Shea,) has supposedly found the perfect man and the perfect marriage – but is learning that marriage isn’t necessarily a happy ending. “Single Ladies” is a modern, sexy series set in the world of Atlanta fashion, music, and celebrity that will constantly explore which woman has the right approach to relationships.
The cast includes: Stacey Dash, LisaRaye McCoy, Charity Shea, and DB Woodside.
Reports of some not-so-beautiful behavior among the cast on the set of Single Ladies surfaced earlier this week when a source told Us Weekly that Dash and co-star LisaRaye McCoy had an on-set blowup; but, another on-set source spoke out in Dash’s defense saying, “I was on set, and it didn’t go down that way at all! People had been working for 15 hours a day, and tempers flared but there was no profanity. Stacey is a professional and Lisa kept forgetting her lines and I think after many hours, it led to some tension, but there was no cussing by Stacey.”
Single Ladies premieres on VH1 May 30th at 9pm.
