I’m so excited to see the play this evening. I think it will really help me to understand the black male psyche. We know so much about women and what we go through. I think it’s time we hrar from me about what they go through and how black women — or any women — play into that matrix. Malik Yoba tried to illustrate what’s on the hearts of men in the Gillette-sponsored BET Web series last month. Men have it hard too, and as women, we need to be less selfish about what we want and determine what we can build — families, businesses, relationahips, communities, etc.

I think we need to understand each other. I agree with you. But, there are tons of material out there about understanding the black woman. It’s time we have a platform for us to see what bothers the Black man. No?
