Hey Ladies,
I love the Angelo David salon near Grand Central Station in New York. When they invited me in for a wash and blow I jumped at the chance to see my extended family again. I adore those guys and gals at the salon.
(I must admit, I was a little on edge. My hair is completely free of any chemicals and I was unsure if the salon was equipped to handle my ethnic, kinky, curly ‘fro. Ladies, I was nervous — didn’t want to leave the salon looking like a treasure troll.)
I made sure the shampoo was sulfur and sodium free. Since my hair is thinning and shedding, I have to be extra careful what I put in it. I was a little annoyed that I didn’t have a proper conditioning. I love to give my hair a little T-L-C. It’s a must. So, the following week, I made sure to leave in the conditioner in a little longer.
The look on my face is of pure worry. I was praying that my hair turned out the same as my blow outs at the Dominican Hair Salon.
In less than 20 minutes, I was done. LOVED it!!!
My stylist worked that brush like a magician! Ooowwwww!

I think I'm ready for my closeup. LOL. Loved the way my hair turned out. The staff at Angelo David are truly amazing.
What do you think? Yay or Nay?
I love the talented folks at the Angelo David Salon. I’m going back so that Julie can do my brows. If you live in New York City, you should check them out. Tell them Beyond Black Beauty sent you.

How as the dryer heat? You and me both are in NY and must connect soon. I used to go to the Dominicans and while I do like the look at the end, I’m tired of being burned.
By the way, are you attending BlogHer12 this year at the Hilton?
Your hair came out great! With my natural hair I’m scared of going to salons for a blow out because there have been times I’ve left looking crazy! Next time I’m in NYC I’ll have to check them out!
