I am a self-proclaimed fashionista and foodie, so anything that combines food and fashion is definitely my idea of a good time. When Nadine Machado, owner/designer at Milagros Clothing Design invited me to her fashion brunch at Closet 07631 for Her in Jersey City, I jumped at the opportunity. Upon entering the boutique, the aroma of sweet fruits, savory cheeses and fragrant wine soothed your senses (scent marketing is real ladies and gentlemen). I was in the mood to SHOP – and I did.
Before Nadine’s fashion show to present the Spring/Summer 2012 line started, I had an opportunity to peruse the boutique and I fell in love with A LOT of accessories and a few signature pieces.
Here are some of the pieces I took home for myself.
This is the Lucy Retro Dress – I really wanted to bring her home, but alas, I had to leave her behind. She’s a little over the top, but I was madly in love with her.
For an accessory queen like my sister Risa, Closet 07631 for Her was a total paradise.
Once the Milagros Clothing Design fashion show started, I was in my element. I was LIVING for the bustier and gold brocade skirt. I also LOVED Nadine’s dress – but my hips would betray me in that hot little number. I eventually took home this silver beauty (look out for me wearing this at an event in the near future).

Lovely dresses. The orange and white animal print top is hot!
I love the idea of brunch and shopping! That white dress looked great on you… did you nab it?
YES! I absolutely bought that silver dress (you can see me wearing it in an upcoming post).
The orange/white giraffe print top is a dream … I recently wore it with an orange bandeau top underneathe. It’s light, airy, sexy and on trend.
