Welcome to What I Wore Wednesday (WWW) a new series to the blog that we will highlight to give you a glimspe of our daily style –everyday street wear. We all love fashion and glamour. But when we are carrying on our normal lives and not going to events, we tend to tone it down a bit. We can all still be fashionistas without wearing the cocktail rings, sky high heels, shoulder pads and cut outs. Here’s what I wore last Wednesday:
At my uncle’s funeral, all of the family members decided to honor him by wearing royal blue and orange because my uncle loved the NY Knicks. We all looked so good in our sea of blue. I won’t be wearing that dress for a while — if I ever wear it again. (I really want to wear again, because I tailored it myself. I just can’t wear it right now…too emotional.) I remembered I had this polyester/rayon/spandex tiered royal blue dress and wanted to try it to work.
Because the dress is fitted I wore flats to tone down the sexy element. I loved the dress and really felt confident the entire day. That cobolt blue hue is really hot right now, so I was right on trend.

That is such a pretty color blue and I love those Tory Burch flats. I really want to get myself a pair!
Thanks, MJ. How are you doing? Yeah, I fell in love with that blue. I gotta get a better camera phone, cause the one I have now takes horrible pictures.
So sorry to hear about your uncle. You look great in royal blue. It works well with our skin tone. It was great meeting you at blogher12!:)
