What I Wore Wednesday

October 3, 2012

Before the official start of summer, Janet did a blog post on tips and tricks for successfully mix patterns, stripes and prints. I decided to put my own spin on Janet’s tips by pairing a mock neck, cap-sleeved shirt and a horizontal striped, midi-length body con skirt. I needed the right event to blend the two, since it would have be a bit overkill going to work (although, I do take a lot of risks when clocking in. LOL)

The day of my high school friend’s bridal shower, I created the perfect outfit.

One of Janet’s tips was to mix different prints that use the exact same colors or using colors within the same color family. (i.e black and white or light blue with royal blue.)

While I was taking on a new trend of mixing prints and patterns, Janet wore retro hues similar to a hippie in the 1970′s. Her outfit had schemes of brown, light brown, dark brown, red-brown, and orange-brown.  She also accented  it with shades of yellows and greens. #vintage style.

Here I am with the bride-to-be. She also looked fab as she wore the summer’s hottest trend a color block combo dress of green and blue — two simple shades that work! Well the bride to be is now a wife! That honey jumped the broom.
