Have you been to the Largest shoe department in the world yet? If not, take a trip down to Macy’s Herald Square and check out their newly opened department.
A few Years ago the Macy’s flagship Herald Square location got $400 million dollars for a much needed facelift with a portion of the money going into the building of the Largest shoe department in the world, which is currently on the second floor, takes up 63,000 square-feet and has a glorious 300,000 pairs of shoes in its stock.
Rashidah and I decided to hightail it over to Macy’s to see what the Largest shoe department in the world looked like and oh wow, did it look grand. The shoe department is very relaxing, organized and nicely decorated with different chandeliers for each department.
The majority of the brands are housed in their own circular comfy lounge sections with the sales racks neatly running along both sides of the floor. The shoe department also includes a cafe in the rear end of the floor that serves Starbucks pastries and coffee, Moet & Chandon champagne, and hand-made chocolates from Vosges Haut Chocolate.
Have fun and don’t spend too much.

My dad works at that store and when he told me about that new shoe floor I almost died! I’m kinda glad I’m not living in NYC anymore because I would go CRAZY in there!
Thanks so much for sharing!
