Rashidah received her Bachelors and Master’s degree in Communications Studies, specializing in public relations, from The College of New Rochelle. She resides in New York City.

Jadie Aponte loves the vintage lifestyle. She also enjoys artistic new and old fashions. Asked by Rashidah to join the BeyondBlackBeauty.com experience as a writer, she jumped on the opportunity. Janet Lawrence has always been head over heels with all things fashion. So when adversity hit, Janet decided it was a sign to turn her infatuation into a career by enrolling in the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Fashion Styling program.
Between F.I.T, working to pay the bills and sampling products for Beyondblackbeauty.com; Janet has had the honor and privilege of working backstage at New York’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week shows including Calvin Kline, Marchesa, Oscar de la Renta, and Bally. She has also had the honor of working and learning alongside other talented stylists.

She is currently the Editor of The Budget Brides Handbook where she gives advice to brides who are looking to plan the wedding of their dreams in their budget. In her quest of making every event fabulous, she created Sharise Finley Events -a boutique event planning agency. Sharise has a BS in Marketing from Penn State University. She has lent her expertise to some of the top companies in the retail industry such as Lord & Taylor, Fortunoff, Intermix, David’s Bridal and La Prairie.
